As this is no Eclipse IoT project, I don't think that this is the right place for it. Are there plans of the EF to also roll this adopter mechanism out to other WGs as well?

ariexi commented 4 years ago

Hi @joespeed, just a short question, did you create this issue for adding ADLINK to the OpenADx Working Group? Or did you want to add ADLINK to Eclipse iceoryx as a committer? Thx!

autumnfound commented 4 years ago

@joespeed Thomas is right in that this isn't strictly an IoT project and won't likely be a candidate for the adopters page on this site. I've reached out to @fdesbiens for clarification on this project and what the exact requirements are for an Eclipse project to be included in the adopters page.

@thjaeckle there are no immediate plans to implement an adopter page for other working groups. The page in IoT is acting as a pilot, and if successful or we get requests from other working groups, we could look at implementing this in other places within the Eclipse environment.

We had a few discussions about this last week and we should include projects that are not under the IoT top level project as long as the community feels that this project is somehow related to IoT.

Working Groups can "share" projects. This is a feature not a bug :)

@ariexi added this issue to add ADLINK to "Eclipse iceoryx" project on Eclipse IoT Adopter page.

chrisguindon commented 4 years ago

I think we can close this issue now that @autumnfound PR is live?

This is live!
