I'm not sure why, but using dotted lines for CTW feels strange. Maybe it's taking up too much space? We want the curves and DOY variables to be the focus but my eyes are drawn to the CTW. But if you move it down to the x-axis the figure gets unbalanced. What if we move the legend to the upper left to rebalance it like this:
What do you two think?
This looks MUCH better! I think agree with @camerondow35 on the critical temperature window lines/ placement of the legend. You could also extend the critical temp window lines down to the x-axis, and you don't necessarily need the double black arrow there.
Here are two versions of the update: one with a CTW double-sided arrow, the other without. I personally prefer the one with b/c the black double-sided arrow balances out the blue/red double-sided arrows, but I defer to you @camerondow35 & @teixeirak
One more, this time with black double-sided arrow on top
I personally like the version without the arrow because it's not needed, but if it's included I'd have it on the bottom.
@camerondow35 gets the final call!
Couple of minor additional tweaks (spacing, Title Case for axes labels)
Looks great! I like the version with the black arrow. It feels better aesthetically to me.
Here is the latest version of the schematic based on today's discussion on collaborator feedback. Let me know your thoughts
