Feature: Landcover type in drop-down #8

WIn 7 SP 1 - When picking landcover type in the drop-down, it would be nice to be able to type part of it, and have it jump to matching characters, because list is so long.

I will check if the QT Combo Box class has this functionality.

I spent about ½ hour investigating whether this is possible. There is no obvious combo box setting that will allow this. If you make the combo box “editable” then you can set this type of auto lookup, but then the user can enter his own text in the combo box, and this text is what will appear in the attribute table and export file, which we don’t want. We could validate the user’s entry and tell the user they must choose one of the options from the list, but that could be annoying to the user.

We've decided that this issue isn't worth addressing at this time, so I've closed the issue.
