I think it would be more helpful if it had language around checking for the rank and linking to the documentation in Microbiome.Taxon about what the possible ranks can be. Also, there are several typos in Microbiome.Taxon which would probably not impact someone with an understanding of taxonomic rank or English, but could be a problem otherwise.
