9 years ago the following words can be used for vocabulary. Mysterious, Bandit, belong, swooned, hydrants out of, pouted, snorted, disappointed, invention, gadget, tasting/ testing, case, dispenser, reminded, sheepishly, realize, waste, huffing, puffing, disaster
we can create 2 pages with photos to match the words, or a sentence with 3 choices, or a poster with the words list down and the kids needs to fill in the right words. DRILL: word search in a puzzle

BOOK Current Eco Stars is good for k-2 3 to 5 she liked the OK Team we did once (the character style) or the style of WG - she said we would have to switch to these characters and style for 3 to 5.
Can do an immediate program with the book Give book to teacher PDF they can show on as slides (all their teachers have that in the classroom) 5 or 6 pages of games, activities, riddles concerning the topic (in this case water conservation at home - how it affects everyone else) Hands on activity, like writing a one sentence pledge or (maybe inspecting their home for leaks, my idea) they can get something at the end, like an Eco Star certificate to take home or badge
They need a test (what they call Performance Assessment) and teachers have to give back feedback and the tests to show how the program succeeded.
(their school has 800 students, k-2 is maybe half)

the way to make sure this goes together with the teachers plan is to make sure the Florida Standards are integrated (not curricula) Find Language Arts and Math standards under FloridaStandards.org / math / rdg.standards Florida Standards or for science: Palmbeachschools.org / science standards (NGSSS = next generation sunshine state standards (or science)
SHOW the current Florida Standards next to each video and the section on the workbook. so if the standard is LAFS5W1.2 (Language Arts Florida Standards 5th grade Writing [1.2 is just the number]) is the standard of the series of riddles, games and problems, it should be on the top of the page to show teacher that they are complying with that standard.
She said we could do one or two Math, one or two LA one or two Science, or 4 science, 4 LA, etc.
But this solves the teachers problem and helps a lot to get the teachers to take it on and do it.
The workbook is great, it can be size of current book for all 7 videos. it can have 6 pages per video.
again, it can have hands on activities or list to choose from performance assessment (test) and survey, feedback letter for teacher

BOOK does not have to fall under school Florida standards but point to tell teachers and schools: Doing this program gives points to help the school achieve GREEN SCHOOL STATUES check that under green schools of excellence palm beach
Videos HAVE to fall under standards since its a program. selling point is getting points to become green schools
green conference is great she also said technology conference is a great place for us to go
in DEC they start preparing for science fair in March
in APRIL they usually do things for earth day - have video program ready for then

this does not have to do with any standards. it needs to have 6 pages of activities to do with the book - focus is WATER CONSERVATION AT HOME and How conserving water at home effects your neighbors and the town
