I wonder if it's possible to make it working in a way similar functionality is implemented in Firefox and Vivaldi?
Namely, if a {search} argument is provided, then open the URL with a search query as it is now, but if it is absent, then just launch the URL without any modifications/param expansions.
This would allow to have a number of quick URL bar shortcuts for quickly getting to frequently visited websites.
