It would be great to have in the app, a way for people to get their digital badge for maintainers to share and use.

  • Q. What other roles could have a different style of badges?

Interesting idea @eddiejaoude. I think the ones with Flubber in a detective costume could work. As far as different roles, the maintainers (this would be great for contributors too) could have the following:

  1. For doing documentation/graphic design: Flubber at his desk writing
  2. For more code-based stuff: Flubber typing on his computer.

[Example styles] I found a repo by awesome-badges that has good documentation on implementing badges in GitHub repos i.e README.md's not 100.01% sure if this can be implemented into the said app. However I think a minimalistic approach to the badge design would be neat...i.e image on one side and text on the other, the side with the image can have different colours (with the image) representing "levels of contribution"...league 1 contributor, league 2 contributor & league 3 contributor (leagues being how often a contributor contributes --> ofcourse the naming convention is only an example)

  1. [Other roles] In addition to modeerators..contributors could have badges too, based on level of contribution i.e how often one contributes.

What about by going something simple like this for premium, maintainer, etc.

In the Account settings page we could also add toggles to display or not display those badges (only shown when you have received the badge by admin).
