Oh, that isn't in the ignore-list. I think this is not an EddieBot issue tho.. NightBot(external bot) handles that.
@eddiejaoude maybe you can add this to NightBot's ignore-list? (good cue for us to switch over this functionality to EddieBot, so that the link moderation process can be controlled, streamlined and improved)
Sure I can add it, I have not seen people using the short links though. Why do they need to be shortened, I like see seeing the full urls of github projects

Git.io is GitHub's URL shortener which takes GitHub links and allows users to create custom short links.
Only regulars can post non-GitHub links but this includes Git.io which links to GitHub.
All users should be able to post Git.io links for the same reason they can post GitHub links.
