You shouldn't be able to change items from item slots that are on use #5632

Details

Currently you can use warp cudgel/RR earring etc items and swap out the item slot while your character is still using/readying the item. Tested on retail and it doesnt let you swap the item slot untill the item takes effect/fails ("fails to active"-text appears in log)

i assume 'doesnt let you' does not mean that retail locks the slot, but instead refers to the failure of the item usage, but please clarify.

After using a warp cudgel, it's possible to swap to another weapon without interrupting it and receiving the 'fails to activate' message There's a short window to swap to another weapon, about a second or two after the warp cudgel activates, otherwise it stays equipped

Another example would be powder boots, it's not possible to equip another pair until the pair you're using finishes activating This video is sped up and might not be a clear example, it shows how he waits until the bar is 100% to equip another pair https://youtu.be/mmP8vJrrZl0?t=153

Locks the slot RR hairpin and waro rings just lock the slot untill it fails or effect activated. Iirc, will confirm later.

Also that warp cudgel thing us slightly surprising, why is it different? Are all weapon activates like that and armor slots lock the slot normally?🥥

The same happens with warp ring and likely other armor slots like RR hairpin. They can only be swapped after the bar hits 100% or fails to activate, I can change the ring slot before I'm warped but only after the warp ring activates.

I get what you're saying tho, the slot should be locked for a moment after you use them. Here we can use the item, then immediately swap to another weapon/armor and it doesn't interrupt it

After initiating the ring it locked that slot temporarily and wouldn't let me equip another ring, I was able to swap it after it activated.
