Dot effects can be erased while charmed

Was able to erase the for effect from Brainjack last night.

Brainjack is used by Long-Armed Chariot in silver sea remnants.

Afaik you shouldn't be able to erase debuffs from charmed players.

Resolved in November 19, 2023 update.

Fought SSR boss again this week and now when you cast erase on a charmed player you get the message

'Erase has no effect on Player Name' but the Drown effect is still removed.

It wasn't a coincidence of drown wearing at the same time, it was easily reproducted.
