Casting delay in casts with large hp(or mp?) pool changes. #5805

The issue presents as a large delay between the button press and ability beginning. Other players and NPCs stop their animations during this period and won’t move. The player log reports an ~8.5 second cast time but when viewed from a nearby character the log displays a ~4.5 second cast time. What has been tested (that I can think of – I may have done more testing. I’ve put ~30-40 hours into this):

Here are example sets and an example of a macro for recreation. Note: I have tested removing each piece in each set individually to see if there is a specific item causing the issue.

what spells does this encompass? is it just songs? the delay only occurs on the player side? naked or static casting does not cause this delay?

It impacts all spells (to be fair, only been tested on bard but includes testing with various /whm magics). Correct, delay occurs on player side. Not sure what you're asking but... If there are no equipment swaps on the character, no delay is incurred (besides the ~.5sec inherent delay). Locked animations via gearswap don't impact the delay. Unlocked animations also don't impact the delay.

My bard ashitacast is having a similar issue with ~1s delay before the song begins. I only tested it with my bard songs so far. It appears to be related to the hp calculation with the precast set. If I completely remove the precast set from my ashitacast, the delay is gone. If I remove certain equipment from my precast set, the delay also disappears. Removing a bulk of my equip from the precast set (see images below) completely gets rid of the delay.

It's not related to a singular piece of equipment either. I will test out combinations of equip that may be causing this, but this is the data I have thus far.
