Font changing #22

Hi sir, thanks for reading. I really like your project, I used to have Metro for Steam but after seeing Threshold, this is my new favourite one. I was using Segoe UI Light font on MfS skin, which I find that is very elegant and simple, I'd like to know if there is any way to set a new font or something like that so I can try Segoe UI on this skin. Thank you.

If you want to change it yourself, it's in resource/styles/steam.styles. Right at the top (line 9) is basefont="Segoe UI", and you can change that to "Segoe UI Light". Make sure you have the font installed!

I don't think I'll make this an official option any time soon. I'm having a hard enough time as it is getting one font to look good (don't even get me started on how Mac and Linux screw it up). I'll add it to the Wiki though, just in case other people want to change it.

Many thanks! I know right how this "find a good looking font" thing is, I design some stuff sometimes too, and this is the hardest part. Segoe UI Light works very good for me, because of the thin font lines, maybe you want to check it out, and thanks for the response!

Just an idea, idk if this is the right topic to add that, but anyway, if there was a button for us to change from extended to collapsed options on the skin without having to change the files, would be ABSOLUTELY GREAT.

Also adding an option to press a button, maybe a ">" next to the menu to open the smaller menu (for example, Games>owned, installed, etc.), or adding a delay to it, because the drop down menu of secondary options shows up too suddenly, and sometimes I want to get to a menu that is under that one (for example, i want to hit games and hit the store with mouse movement) and have to move off the menu for the secondary menu to come off and let me acess the menu under it.

These are just some ideas to improve your skin, this one is my new favourite, i'm not changing to another one, this one is the best! XD

Those options would be great, but Steam skins are limited to functionality already in Steam. I can move buttons and change how they look, but I cant change what they do or add new ones.

Oh, what a shame. Anyways, thanks a lot!
