Warning: Creating default object from empty value

With debugging set to DEVELOPER mode, I get the following warning at the top of each panel in the Kopere Dashboard:

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /theme/boost/version.php on line 27

Line 27 refers to the line starts with "$plugin->version...". So basically, at this point, the $plugin variable has not yet been initialized.

Additional info

• I am using Moodle 3.6.3 with the Boost theme.
• I am using the open-internal setting - so URL looks like: /local/kopere_dashboard/open-internal.php?classname=dashboard&method=start
• I am using the latest version of Kopere Dashboard downloaded moments ago.
