4th suit asks (among others) for a stopper in the 4th suit I think 3s is correct her - in case partner has 5h and wants to know if we have 3 hearts but has a diamond stopper himself (so we de not want to exclude 3nt). But we cannot bid 3nt - this shows a stopper in diamonds..

S has a problem after partner's 3D, he can repeat his suit as below: image But this has its drawbacks because it does not show the additional length (and causes a slight decrease in effectiveness). Moreover, 3NT is usually correct because the following conditions are met:

I think thhe statement "it does not show the additional length" is incorrect. The reason is a wrong description of the 2s bid. It is a jump shift or a jump reverse. A jump shift shows at least a 5-4 and a game forcing hand. So we have shown already 5 clubs with the 2s bid.

An exellent example of why we should play 2N as "4th suit" with a stopper, when we have established the GF with 2S.

Neither GIB nor WBridge5 handles the hand OK, but I prefer the WBridge sequence.
