I think I would prefer 3C instead of Gerber, then after 3D we can check aces.

yes 7nt is very optimistic. I also do not understand why we are trying to play slam in nt and not in one of the minors. 6c and 6d are cold and 6nt depends on diamond finesse sfter heart lead. North's hand is more suitable for a minor suit slam.
