Do not punish partner for balancing #475

Now balancing is fine, and I agree that 2S is a good raise to 3H, but this hand is not near a 2S bid

1 N should have 6H and 9hcp and probably 4S because passed. image

2 4H is a defensive bid. image

4H is still a bad bid. Generally when partner balance you should not bid, as partner did his job to push the opponents 1 level higher.

The issue is fixed in 8629 What I do not understand is the reasoning behind

Why is it better to double when partner has 3 spades vs 2 spades?
