After the overcall South is limited, so a T/O double of 3C would be OK

Different (x instaed of 1h) but wrong. A good rule is: if you start with a strength double and opponents preempt you bid on. Of course you can get cought. East can have 18hcp with 4 hearts and penalty double for -3. But after prrempts we shall apply statsitics. On average partner for his bidding (pass after 3c) has 5? points. image

We prefer overcall in Major to a T/O D on 5431, but prefer T/O D on 5431, when it is a 5-card minor
