First room - N shows 9 HCP only, S can't bid 3N.
This is a good example of a board (Room 1), where South should describe his hand, and 3N is perfect for that. With only 9HCP in North and partner showing 6+ C, there should be compensating values to bid 3D.
So 3N is showing an unbalanced hand with a spade-stopper and minimum, and not a calculated bid
Hamman's rule is that if there are possible calls and one of them is 3NT, then 3NT should be chosen

After having rebid 2C, I see no other bid, than 3N over 3D, so this is not Hamann's rule :-)
