1♥ – 2♣/♦ does not deny spades. I need a rule. I need a rule when 1S and when 2C.
You only bid 2Mi if the suit is longer than spades. Then you can bid 2S and show the minor is 5+-cards
Maybe easier to implement: 1♥ – 2♣/♦ denies an exact 4-4 in ♠ + ♣/♦
A new example of not to bid 2C

With BEN as partner we stop in 4S
But with BBO-BEN as partner this happens

BTW: 1H-(P)-2C-(P)-3D is in GIB defined as 5-5 and not splinter
