Could be a limit raise, but definition is wrong #621

002F6CD32F9430E0C40B8DCCD5FB image South should bid 2H = 4H, 12-14 (Defined as 3-5 hearts) 3H = 4H, 15-17 (Defined as 12 HCP) So 2S if a limit+ raise is 18+

4H is also defined as 12 HCP, where it should probably be 5+H and probably 11-14

There is too much confusion with "limit raise". You need to clearly determine when it does not occur and then you can determine the meaning of other bids. And I think that 18+ cannot be the limit.

In the current implementation BBA checks if it has a limit+ and then makes the cuebid. It should be: Check if a normal support bid id available, if yes, then make that bid, and use cuebid for something else. Currently is is like for every 10 cue bids made, that is showing support 8 of them are wrong. In the above example 2S is just strong

So it is more defining the situations when it apply.

I think you should make it a convention, so it can be triggered, then I could flag the correct one, that seems a lot easier than flagging the wrong one.

Yesterday I had this sequence 2S-(3H)-4H This is a good raise in Spades, but it should be a hand that have interest for slam and not xx Jx AKQxx AKxx That is a good hand but slam prospects are poor. So 4S is the right bid

Here opener is showing a limit raise to his own suit - really strange

The board is a good example of how bad the bidding is

South should bid 2H, as X denies 4H Norths 2D is wrong as even if X did promise 4-card heart, then 2H is the right bid. After the X in south West could bid 1N to show the hand type 3H is very bad

Forgot to mention, that East pass to 2D also is very bad.

8641: The descriptions of 2h, 3h and 4h are mostly correct. I think the 2s description is wrong and should deny 4+h as you already have the option to show heart support with any point range.

BBA won't use a 2S bid even with a strong hand, but has to interpret it. Maybe hearts should be limited to 3 if we trust our opponents. 002FAFD32C9430E2C7468DC7D5B0 image

That is an interesting problem from the BEN perspective, as it is trained on actual deals, so we need someone to bid 2S if BEN should learn it. Difficult

Ok, 8641 proposed 2s as you can see in the lowest screenshot. 8642 proposes 4h. So I think it's fixed.
