resizable stuff affecting efficiency instead of spamming them real
maybe if this gets added it can also be put into other functionality parts? tho im not sure how the part cost would be balanced besides just making them less efficient or something
like crafting one combustion turbine and then setting it to max size instead of crafting multiple, maybe parts would have some sort of cost to resize?

Why are you making your suggestion?
The update lowering the output of Extractors makes sense, as they did make too many resources for their power, and the game was too easy.
The problem is of course, you need more extractors. For bin resources that is fine as it slowly goes up, but for power, a problem arises. as you scale gasoline-based powered systems, and likely the same issue with steam, Lag is now a much larger issue. Because of the update, if you want to turn oil or ice into power, you need about 12.5x more extractors/mining lasers to accomplish it.
In my extreme case, I have 64 refineries. Before, 68 extractors were enough, now it requires 850. The ping goes up by over 1200 from turning the extractors on, and all of those to get 650 oil a second. I doubt many people will have that many extractors in general, but the change directly limits how big farms can be, and there needs to be a better method of getting resources out of your planet.
What do you propose? What should change, or what should be added?
Idea 1: New part, a more expensive, better extractor, like mining lasers, except stationary and viable for power generation
Alternatively, and more ambitious,
Idea 2: Make current extractors resizable and/or configurable, maybe you could scale an extractor, having a configurable number (the max being how many extractors would fit across the face of the extractor), for example, an extractor covering 4x the resource of a regular one, like its face being 2 by 2 extractors, can configured and set between 1-4, which directly multiplies power and output
