'Alt key on its own sends ^[' conflicts with Alt-select #74

With 'Alt key on its own sends ^[' enabled, an ESC character is sent even
when doing a rectangular selection by holding Alt while dragging the mouse.

The ESC is sent when the Alt key goes up, so the solution is to have any
mouse click cancel the Alt-down state.
