[SUGGESTION] Quicker assignment for new arrivals #311

This is only a suggestion, I might have a friend code it into the
publicstable ourselves if it is not of interest to you.

Basically, we want to make form of 'scanner', alongside a security station,
right outside arrival shuttle. I'm not good at formatting this shit but
I'll try to outline the basic idea.

1. Assistant arrives.

2. Assistant exits shuttle, goes to security station, the security station
should have a form of scanner that is the only way to enter the actual
station and leave the arrival shuttle hallway.

3. Assistant enters scanner, assistant is forced to pick a job, the jobs
available should be based off current station assignments, for example,
let's say there are 2 of every job except engineer, then engineer should be
the prioritized selectable job.

4. Assistant clicks engineer, and gets ID automatically modified to
engineer status.

5. Also, the computer automatically reads the variables like name, DNA,
fingerprint, and add them to the medical and security records.

6. Assistant leaves scanner, goes to assigned area, gets on clothes and
equipment, and presumes job. An alternative would be if possible, that the
person is automatically given the clothes and equipment for the job as he
enters the scanner.

Any viewpoints on this I would appreciate an email at privatesnowball@gmail.com

Sounds like a lot of extra work (both coding and player-side) for little gain.
The
current system does everything above automatiocally at game start. Although
perhaps
you're referencing late arrivals?

It may not be a bad idea for the late arrivals; it would definitely be one of my
lower priorities however. If you'd like to contribute some code (preferably for
unstable), I'd be happy to vet and commit.
