Icon not set #9

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
1) copied icon_override_0.1.dll to C:\Program Files\Pidgin\plugins
2) Enabled the plugin
3) restart
4) Went to manage accounts menu
5) Saw the drop down for protocol icons and changed accordingly for my google
and facebook
6) restart pidgin

Now when i enable all the accounts, it shows XMPP Icons and not facebook or
google. !!!

Pidgin version 2.9.0

Please check,

thanks,
muthu

I have all the proper icons @ C:\Program
Files\Pidgin\pixmaps\pidgin\protocols\16

On Windows, I copied the protocol icons to the plugin folder (i.e. "plugins")
and now the correct protocol icon gets displayed next to each conatact. The
"Default protocol icon list affected" (Issue 7) remains though. But since I
added the protocols just once, it ain't a problem.

Could anyone give me an example of the path for windows, please?

I must be doing something wrong - tried all the combinations I could think of,
none of which seem to work:

\pixmaps\pidgin\protocols\16\cust_gtalk.png
pixmaps\pidgin\protocols\16\cust_gtalk.png
/pixmaps/pidgin/protocols/16/cust_gtalk.png
pixmaps/pidgin/protocols/16/cust_gtalk.png
C:\Program Files\Pidgin\pixmaps\pidgin\protocols\16\cust_gtalk.png
C:/Program Files/Pidgin/pixmaps/pidgin/protocols/16/cust_gtalk.png
C:/"Program Files"/Pidgin/pixmaps/pidgin/protocols/16/cust_gtalk.png
"C:/Program Files/Pidgin/pixmaps/pidgin/protocols/16/cust_gtalk.png"

Are there any requirements for the image format? Image name?

Thanks

igalg... You'll just want to use "cust_gtalk" (without the quotes)
