I've got the plugin downloaded and installed, and I'm hooked up to Steam, and everything's working fine, but I will get a dozen SSL certificate errors every time I say anything, sometimes stacked six deep. It's pretty annoying and all the fixes I've seen for SSL glitches seem to be for Linux and/or at least five years old.

I'm on Windows 10 with Pidgin 2.12.0.

Figured out the problem: somehow my .purple folder was read-only???? But it was only bothering Steam???? (Multiple question marks only to indicate my complete bafflement.) So I just took it off read-only and there aren't any more problems.
