What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Connect to Steam
2.Wait
3.Connection closes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
To connect to steam and not kill the connection.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
libsteam-1.3 on Windows7

Please provide any additional information below.
Attached is a log file showing the disconnection.

You're getting an error of "Connection aborted due to timeout" as it can't 
connect to "api.steampowered.com".  You can either try enabling the "always use 
https" setting in advanced settings, or checking your router to make sure it's 
not blocking api.steampowered.com
