Hi, maybe a litte off topic - sorry.
I have a bad feeling about sending my SMS via Servers in the USA.
I use Maxs (http://projectmaxs.org) and my XMPP Server to send SMS via Pidgin and my Android Phone.
It works very well, only the look and feel is like a command line.
maybe you have an idea of a more userfriendly plugin for pidgin, imo it's a better solution than pushbullet.

Here is the help text of the bot:
contact num - Lookup a contact by number
contact name - Lookup a contact by name
contact nick - Lookup contact by nickname
contact mobile - Lookup contact by mobile number
contact lookup - Lookup a contact
rm path - Delete the given path
sms show <> - Show the last 5 or $count SMS messages
sms write - Add a SMS message to the system database. Does not actually send the message
reply to - Send a SMS message to the recent contact
sms send <␣␣> - Send a sms. The contact needs to be seperated from the sms body with two spaces.
