Doesn't remove Buddy list from Taskbar when minimized #18

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable plugin
2. Minimize Buddy list
3. Buddy list still visible for taskbar icon

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Without this module, the Buddy list are removed from the taskbar icon when
minimized. Then, with only one chat window, I can just single click on the icon
to bring the chat window to the front, now that is no longer possible.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Pidgin 2.7.11
pidgin-win7 0.4

Please provide any additional information below.

This is by design. The Win7 taskbar icon is supposed to replace the system
tray icon (according to the windows spec), the overlay icon also ties into the
buddy list. If you definitely still want to hide the buddy list on
close/minimise, you'll need to turn off the "Show status overlay icon" setting.

Thanks for a quick reply, your tip sorted that out. I mainly use Pidgin for IRC
and old chat account that I hardly use anymore (to avoid bloating when having
to have all those dedicated clients started).

The jumplist is great as I now can hide the tray icon and quickly be able to
get the chat group window to front or reach the buddy menus from the jumplist
the few times I need them.
