Remove from taskbar when no windows are open #36

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Close all conversation windows.
2. Close buddy list window.
3. Pidgin still appears in the Windows 7 taskbar.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Pidgin should be hidden/removed from the taskbar, and only visible in the
notification area, if no windows are open.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Windows 7
Pidgin 2.10.7
pidgin-win7-5.dll

Unfortunately, most of the options that the Win7 plugin provides require that
the icon is displayed in the taskbar at all times. You'll find that when you
try to close the buddy list, it'll actually just minimise it.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I appreciate having all the extra options on the taskbar icon, and I understand
that those options require the icon, but I think it would be good to have a
configuration option to allow the buddy list to be closed.
