FYI - I wanted to download and try your compiled Windows plug-in for Pidgin, purple-hangouts but my antivirus software blocked the site that the file is hosted on. It reported that the site was likely compromised. I just thought I would let you know in case you wanted to look into it. I hope to be able to use your plug-in soon. It solves a long-standing problem for me. Google Hangouts isn't reliable enough to use as a chat tool. Pidgin works great but Google's protocol doesn't fully support it, as you know. And, using the legacy XMMP protocol with Google's servers will have a finite life. This works fine for our IT department but I can't roll it out to other users knowing that the it may break at anytime.
