Biltbee FAQ provides incorrect instructions #231

The bitlbee FAQ suggests trying to load https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth?client_id=936475272427.apps.googleusercontent.com&scope=https://www.google.com/accounts/OAuthLogin&redirect_uri=urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:oob&response_type=code in order to acquire the oauth token, but this results in the following error:

Authorization Error Error 400: invalid_scope Not authorized to request the scopes: [https://www.google.com/accounts/OAuthLogin]

Additionally, while the FAQ says "If you're using Bitlbee, you'll ideally want to use at least version 3.4.2. Otherwise, you won't get the URL you need to login.", but I'm using Bitlbee 3.6 and purple-hangouts from commit efa7a53 (using the purple-hangouts-0-70.20200710gitefa7a53.fc33.x86_64 package under Fedora) and the only URL I get on setting up a hangouts account is the URL for the youtube video.

I see, the youtube video includes the URL in the description. That still leaves the URL in the FAQ problematic; should that just be updated to have the URL from the video?

@larsks yeah that makes sense. Could you make a PR to update the FAQ?

larsks commented 3 years ago

Sure, I'd be happy to. Will try to get to that tomorrow.

Oooooooor in July, but I see that the video is now marked private, so I guess I'll just close this one. Sorry for the delay!

EionRobb commented 3 years ago

Oh, the video instructions have always been marked as unlisted - is it not accessible at all now?

Visiting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlDhp-eNLMU (linked from Home) results in the error "Video unavailable. This video is private."
