fix mm_get_users_by_ids(), works with MM 3.10 now #61

Turns out what I did initially was .. errr .. less than optimal ... and in addition while working with MM 3.9 .. did not with 3.10 release anymore.

Thanks to @linkmauve for the fix !

Were the changes from this branch already in as part of the multi-team fixes?
