SkypeWeb message sync (Outlook account) #599

I recently started using a Skype account which is related to my Outlook account. I use it on web.skype.com, but it seems that its messages don't go to Pidgin. I have another Skype account which is quite old (not related to my Outlook account), I use it on Skype app in my work PC and messages go to Pidgin once I open it.

I also have a skype account that is linked to my microsoft account. I actually have 2. I tried setting up pidgin with account 1, but if I send messages from account 2 to account 1, pidgin doesn't see them. If I try to send outgoing messages from account 1 from Pidgin, they go out okay, but I am unable to receive messages. I don't have an old skype account that isn't linked to a microsoft to test it with.

  1. It looks like the issue is with accepting the buddy request when chatting with a user for the first time. Once I accepted the invite on the regular skype app I was able to receive messages.

Its still an issue, but at least a solvable one!
