Group chat window pops up with no messages

With apparently no activity in the group chat, the chat window opens, highlighted in the task list. I suspect, this happens on some internal notifications, like the user typing, although there is no indication of that in the chat window.

The annoying part is that the chat window keeps popping up even after I close it.

I would prefer the chat window to only pop up when a new message arrives, not on any auxiliary internal messages that might be received before that.

Hmm. It could be that it thinks there's a new message in a conversation, but the message is of an unknown type that the plugin doesn't know how to handle. That's total speculation though :)

Are you able to get a debug log out of Help->Debug Window, for the duration that you get one of these blank popups?

Also, are you able to see in another skype client (eg, the mobile or web clients) whether it has an icon indicator to say that there's unread messages in that chat? (Try to not actually tap on the conversation if it does say unread, so that we can try debug this and prevent it happening in the future)

Here's a reduced and redacted piece of log saved when one of my contacts was typing in a group chat and the chat window popped up on my end with no messages. I had to remove the usernames from the log for obvious reasons.

Also, are you able to see in another skype client (eg, the mobile or web clients) whether it has an icon indicator to say that there's unread messages in that chat?

I don't see it now in the official Skype client on Linux. That said, right now noone seems to be typing in the chat either.

If someone start typing it open conversation window. If someone send any message it show me group chat message does not matter what value in hide new IM conversations. Possible to solve? And I see error msg like this 'skypeweb: Unhandled thread message resource messagetype 'Control/ClearTyping''
