I've been playing on a singleplayer survival world with a number of mods installed, which naturally includes moreores. I've found that while wearing mithril armor (with the shield), dragons are pretty much a non-threat because they can almost never damage me. I've only managed to take damage from a dragon once (for 2 hearts) and have hunted down 10 or so at this point.
Given that moreores is such a widely used mod and is depended on by so many other things, it seems weird that Draconis' balance doesn't factor it in in any way.
A simple solution would be to buff dragon damage when moreores is installed, however this might make the game too unplayable before getting mithril so my suggestion would be to give dragon attacks a decent chance to penetrate armor by some amount (for example by making a portion of the damage a group other than fleshy or fire).
