Call Volume + Proximity Sensors #11

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start a call with someone

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Proximity sensor not working properly. Keeps thinking it is covered. Phone app
blacks out and I cannot type on the touch screen to enter numbers or hang up.
Call volume also very low even at max. Tried turning call-volume down to min
and raising up to max and still barely audible. Tried using headset too and
still very quiet.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Rootbox v4.1 - NEAK 2.0.2

Please provide any additional information below.

NOTE: The Proximity sensor issue can be tested with any sensor test apps.
Basically proximity sensor uses infrared. It is for some reason not adjusted
properly. Even if moving phone away from face or object, the phone still thinks
it's up against the face and won't light up. The sensor works if shining very
bright light at it and it will then turn the screen back on, but it's an
inefficient use method to "fix".

There is a way to recalibrate the sensor, as the code in the kernel is the
stock one, nothing changed
