Important: Failure of heater that provides windshield defrosting and defogging is a safety defect.

Nice overwiev. Would have been interesting to see what percentage of these cars were fitted with the optional heat pump, to see if that actually makes any difference to the longetivity of the heater or not.

When the parts come in for mine (sometime in January, hopefully) I'm going to ask a lot of questions to the technician about what was involved and will report what I've learned here.

Ou problem started a week ago - no heat in the cabin. We took it to the dealer outside of DC and they could not offer a timeline for repair and recommended we take the car back until they get info from Porsche on the repair. Very disappointing experience.

I have a 2022 Taycan 4S. I noticed the no heat problem on January 23, 2023. Please add it to your list. I made a service appointment.

‘22 Base. New case of heat failure. DC area dealer aware of issue but no info from Porsche NA re part availability. Called P NA and reported NHTSA to file complaints. No loaner availability. Really???

The fix so far is to replace the faulty heaters once they fail. I’m not sure they’re doing replacements proactively but it should be covered by warranty if/when it fails.

But is that a new Part Ref number? Or exactly the samewith the same probability to fail in a few months?
