Drivers side window doesn't auto-open or auto-close after disconnecting the 12v battery #5

Summary of problem

One touch window function stops working for a specific window. Window still opens and closes by holding the window button down.

First reported: October 2021 Most recent report: December 2022 Total confirmed cars affected: 2 Affected years: 2022 Affected models: Base, 4S

Cause of problem

Typically a result of disconnecting the 12V battery.

Action needed

From the Porsche manual:

If the 12-volt power supply fails, the final positions of the side windows are lost. One-touch operation of the side windows is disabled.

Perform the following steps for all side windows:

  1. Close the side window completely once by pulling the switch to the second setting.
  2. When the window is completely closed, briefly pull the switch to the second setting again.
  3. Completely open the side window once by pressing the switch.
