Agree with you on split-by-comma feature, I actually thought about this also,
but obviously that is not implemented yet.
Number of words? Hm, could be.
I see the point but you must take into account the power (or weakness to be
more precise) of Google's translate engine. It can translate whole sentences
(and phrases) pretty good, but if you take, say, 5 words from a sentence which
do not form a phrase or something similar to phrase, then you end up with
translation which is hard to use (for learning at least :) )

what about translating the sentence and then splitting it by phrase or part of
the phrase and mixing original with translated one? Right now even if sentence
is quite short it is still hard to perceive the information in both languages
simultaneously, need to run back and forth all the time...
neat idea, but not really working for now, in compare with original materials
prepared by method of course.
thanks for effort though!

I see that you mean, but do not see any general approach.
The key is how to split the translated text and where to insert parts of it to
the original sentence. Different languages use different word order and differ
in use of commas.
I do not see any way to automate this part, but if you or anybody else knows,
please tell me, point to some scientific article or provide an algorithm -- I'm
happy to implement it in Franker!
