Profiles Not Saving Properly #1

Closed Saix13 closed 4 years ago

Saix13 commented 4 years ago

When I choose to save a profile while on the home screen enter a game and then exit the game back to the home screen it shows the profile is back to the default clock speeds. The same thing happens in a game if I save the profile and exit the game and relaunch the game the profile shows it at the default clock speeds. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Electry commented 4 years ago

I'm not sure. Check if ur0:data/PSVshell/profiles/ folder exists. There should be a file for each saved profile with the game's titleid as a name.

Saix13 commented 4 years ago

I have that there with a profile for main and the PCSE (the one game I tested). So even though the settings show it as the default, the profile setting takes priority over what the plugin is showing? Just making sure I follow.

Electry commented 4 years ago

No, the plugin shows real, current values, so something's not right.

Does the freq show in white? Also, did you disable any other OC plugin you had before?

Saix13 commented 4 years ago

The frequency does show in white. I had lolicon but I added a # to its entry in the config for it so it does not activate.

I have the same problem. h-encore user, deactivated vsh. This kuio thing does seem to be inactive as well, if that's important (it was needed by vsh). The folder with setups is there, but they do not apply. If that's important: I never know where to install plugins: ux0:/tai/ or ur0:/tai/, so I install them in both folders. :P No clue if that's the problem

Edit: Since you are the person who made VitaGrafix: I still have an old version installed, since the newer versions with lists never worked for me either. The versions with hard coded patches do however. Maybe that might be a hint for you to find out what's the problem with our settings.

Hi, I have the same problem on my end as well, under 3.60. Folders do exists and contain a file for each game I've saved a profile but, when launching the game, profile is simply not applied.

FYI, my data folder only contain PSVshell directory as I'm using SD2Vita. Don't know if it's related to this... If you need further tests done, simply let me know.

Best!

Sora3100 commented 4 years ago

I'm also experiencing this. 3.60 enso, profile does exist in ur0:/PSVshell/profiles

What may be the culprit is that psvs_profile_load() doesn't seem to be ever called in the code in the master branch. But it is in the debug branch.

I have been in contact with Electry and got this solved.

Ok so if the plugin loads for you the issue is (and technically isn't one) then you want the numbers to remain in blue when you choose to save the profile.

What I was doing is pressing X to change the value then X again when the value was changed to what I wanted it to be and then saving the profile. If the number is white (even if it is a higher value) it will be considered the original default.

I hope that made sense.

Thanks Saix13, I confirm this was the issue on my end as well. While I understand the "workaround", I think this is counter-intuitive as to how we should change the values. It looked to me like, when white, the number were set and when in blue, they were editable. I think the addition of OC profiles would be better suited and more intuitive.
