[Request] Hatsune Miku Project Diva series #13

Open Antox52 opened 6 years ago

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

hi^^

I wanted to know if you could add the "triology" of Hatsune Miku Project Diva on ps vita Project diva f Project diva F2nd Project diva X is one of the best rhythm games on psvita and I would like to see them run at 60fps

I know there is a patch for ps3 on F and F2nd so I wanted to know if you could patch it maybe you will encounter problems in the animations, but the gameplay should remain unchanged (sorry for my bad english)

Thanks!^^

MNKqwerty commented 6 years ago

Maybe patch is possible for Miracle Girls Festival? It's another rhythm game from Sega and has the similar engine as Project Diva.

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

I didn't know this title, but it seems very similar to Diva X and the gameplay is identical maybe I should try it! ...and buy it as usual -.-

Electry commented 6 years ago

@Antox52 which game region of Project Diva f do you have?

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

USA

Electry commented 6 years ago

could you test this please? Project Diva f (PCSE00326) patched to 60fps. Let me know if it works. VitaGrafix_PCSE00326.zip

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

YES IT WORKS!!! and very well ^^

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

the only problem I encountered (and that I had foreseen) are some animations concerning the 2D effects and the game menus that are reproduced at double the speed, for me it is not a problem but maybe it would be right to put a disclamer in the compatibility list after all the gameplay is very stable and I have rarely seen slowdowns

gavin-good commented 6 years ago

if you could, could you make one for f 2nd as well? i think a lot of people would be ok with the menus and stuff being sped up (it's technically faster because then the transitions and stuff are sped up as well) if the gameplay was fine

gavin-good commented 6 years ago

or even a resolution hack for f or f 2nd

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

the thread is for the series, not just f I also own diva F2nd and X and I think he downloads the games to modify them, so let's give him some time!

diegorocha2007 commented 6 years ago

I have a modified eboot for X, I downloaded from the user InquisitionImplied a while ago. Maybe Electry can merge it to the plug-in...

dark-kyon commented 6 years ago

Is possible to make a resolution boost to Project diva F, the original game in VIta is too blurry, F2 and X improved a lot, thanks for the framerate patch of PD F regardless.

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

I will instead set the lowest resolution to get a better framerate, when there are many things in the screen tends to lag a lot

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

anyway, I was wondering if we can send you eboot to save you the job of downloading them

dark-kyon commented 6 years ago

If you think the gamne framerate is bad just overclock the game using oclockvita.

superwisemon commented 6 years ago

Overclocking isn't a certain fix. I'm not sure if anyone else has played much with this patch, but the game seems to be double-buffer vsync, which means if it drops any frames it'll lock directly back down to 30. Typically, in doing this, the game thinks you're making two or more button presses for some reason, which leads to hold notes failing. This is with a maximum overclock. Some songs, like Remote Controller, are able to keep the lock, but others like Black Rock Shooter are a complete mess which flies around from 60 and 30 fps at whim, which is obviously impractical for a rhythm based game. As cool as it is to have some things working at 60fps, until we can reduce the load of the game, it isn't a practical use

diegorocha2007 commented 6 years ago

@superwisemon is it a thing with the entire trilogy or just the first game? Anyway, good to know that, I'm disabling oclockvita for this one right now. Gameplay comes first.

gavin-good commented 6 years ago

I think this is the same way for the PS3 games on an emulator Even. I think it's with how textures move in the background

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

To overclock i use the vsh menu but on project diva does not work, as regards the gameplay it is true that the hold work badly but at least I do not have the hassle of the low framerate

since apparently oclockvita works, I will download it and then when I have the pc at hand I will lower the framebuffer resolution and internal buffer in the configuration to get constant 60fps

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

@dark-kyon overclocking without this patch would be useless as the game runs perfectly at 30fps in normal speed

Antox52 commented 6 years ago

@Electry could you please make the resolution of the framebuffer and internal buffer 640×368?, so as to avoid moments of lag in the game Thanks ^^

hoholee12 commented 5 years ago

is there any update on running diva x 60fps?

Hydr8gon commented 3 years ago

Not sure if anyone is still looking for a 60 FPS patch for Diva X, but here's a partial one for the US release:

@FPS
0:0x420FA t1_mov(0, vblank)

This only changes the Vblank interval; PV animations are broken, but the notes are at least nice and smooth. I was using the existing patches for F and F 2nd as a reference, and while I found a function similar to the one that controlled animation speed for those games, it only seemed to affect menu animations in X (which actually correctly scaled to 60FPS already, so it was useless). I might try to look into this more at some point, but it's pretty much like finding a needle in a haystack.

Antox52 commented 3 years ago

thanks anyway :)

Hanawiw commented 1 year ago

I wanted to know how I apply the patch. I really don't know how to use the Vita emulator right. I wanted help :(

KutsuyaYuki commented 1 year ago

@Hanawiw this software is not written for the emulator. It's written for the native vita device.

You shouldn't need this on an emulator anyways.
