Is there any estimated time for the release of UUID support?

With CraftBukkit in its current state there are no plans to add UUID support. We are recoding for Sponge.

We've never coded against Spigot but it is also susceptible to the DMCA on CraftBukkit. Getting around the DMCA is not as easy as many people seem to think. It's not a simple case of rewriting all the commits Wolverness made. It's also a case of rewriting them 'clean room' and also any subsequent commits which relied or referenced them. We will be respecting the DMCA and not coding against any platform which is suspect.
