Wyze Cam V2 unable to mount rootfs #1602

I am using a Wyze Cam V2, PCB says v2.05 (2020-02-22). Shipped with firmware version 4.9.4.176. Using most recent commit (2948300e12687037dbfcc18cb6ddc6497af28e61) on master.

Description

I am attempting to install the microUSB bootloader so I can install the Custom Firmware. I am able to flash some versions of official Wyze firmware (4.9.5.115). When I flash the custom bootloader it fails to mount the filesystem, which causes kernel panic and boot loop.

What did you do to debug the issue

I am connected to the serial port and collected logs of the startup messages. I noticed on the Wyze website they say "Older firmware versions are being removed from this page because they are incompatible with newer Wyze Cams and would break a newer camera if applied." Is it possible that a hardware revision is causing this problem? I saw #986 rewrote the bootloader firmware to work with newer cameras. Maybe it is necessary to do this again?

Evidence

4.9.5.115_boot_log.txt cfw1.1_boot_log.txt

Let me know if there are any other specific files or tests I should run to help with debugging.
