Such as ARFX, but it only works on windows and windows is not reliable to work. Windows has many drivers problems, today works and tomorowws perhaps, or not... is a nightmare, and otrher problems virus etc... Linux or Mac are real stable computers, reliable for serious proyects. Actually there is not any DMX Ambilight proyect for Linux or MAC at world.

Main features: Selecable screen zones from 1 to 4 may be great. Fade to black option to turn off the light. Override funcion to keep constant any values, necesary for some fixtures (channel 1 mode strobe/dimmer,2 red,3 green,4 blue,5 0-100 soundtolight 100-255.) Remap funcion in order to clone any channel Sound to light as well great.

Thanks very much. I have paid by ARFX and I will pay again for something similar which let me left windows at last. I am really tired of reinstall it, one more time, problems with 2k,XP,vistay7 8Didn´t tried. I will sell it to discos pub. I use: Enntec USB DMX PRO and some fixtures for ambight tv, garden ambient, and ambilight swimming pool effect under the wall over we proyects films from spring to autum.

In this days I have tried for ambilight funtion: PC dimmer, doesn´t work. DMXcontrol.de, Hang when selecting Enntec usb pro output. DMXcontrol Ambilight, It seems to work but in fact does nothing. Q light controller, Seem to work but nothing happend. I don´t know what is the problem with this devices but exist meny problems in Windows.

The only one how worked well was: ARFX smartbytes (version 2530, 3* doesn´t work too) FreeStyler (alway OK, but with no ambilight funtion) Enntec flash utility (which doesn´t do anything for ambilight porpourse.

So till now ARFX is the best one with difference. Is not freeware but works which is the most important. In the web FAQs:

9) Are there any drivers available for Mac OS X, or Linux? Yes. But although hardware drivers exist for these operating systems, the ARFX software currently only runs under Microsoft Windows. For any other OS, you need to write your own software to control the hardware.
