Majora's Mask menu turns black #115

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start new game in Majora's Mask.
2. Pause game.
3. Wait 5-6 seconds.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The menu should keep displaying, but after 5-6 seconds it turns black.
Exiting and pausing again brings it back every time.

What version of the product are you using? On which system and loader?
Beta1 Wii64 on HBC.

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm guessing this is another issue similar to the Banjo Tooie and Turok
issue, just wanted to make a separate log of it.

Along those same lines, the "memory" of Princess Zelda, once you regain the
Ocarina,
is all black. Probably the same issue. (I hope)

I'll expand on what rhydonj is talking about.

In the beginning of Majora's Mask, there is a part in the game where you have to
retrieve the Ocarina of Time from the main enemy. When you finally retrieve
it, a
flashback cutscene showing a conversation between Link and Zelda is shown.
However,
the screen turns completely black throughout the duration of the cutscene. The
game
is still playable; all you have to know is the Song of Time's input
combination, but
I can't guarantee that everyone knows it or remembers it.

It's not a major issue, but it is something that should be looked at.

There's another pause screen bug with the bombers' notebook. It only loads the
upper
left corner of the screen once selected, making the notebook unusable. This
isn't a
necessary feature, but it is a helpful one. I tried turning FB textures on, but
it
didn't change anything.

Also, the scenes after you defeat a boss, where the giants moan at you, have no
text.
Ive beaten the first 2 and neither had text. The first also has a song, but its
doable through trial and error.
