marking of widgets + search for marked items has to be adjusted after last refactoring #26

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. have a look at list view / detail view, especially the mark widget
2. items cannot be properly marked currently
3. markwidget is not enabled or marking causes exception (code is not yet 
committed..)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
users should be able to mark items like in gmail. this is annoying but i will 
defer this since we have to focus on other stuff at the moment.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
