If the gnome-terminal is set to follow System Theme Colors, it creates these weird artifacts: image

This happens for both the GTK and Shell theme. Which means that these artifacts are also visible when dragging icons in the Show Applications overview and the Activities overview although they disappear after the mouse has been released.

In the case of the Gnome-Terminal though, it doesn't disappear unless it is not set to follow the System Theme Colors.
