@mbramson @daveshah @lojack @joelbyler Please tear this apart. A lot of this is taken from a blog post. Some of it comes from the Elixir book. I'm almost certain good portions of it can be rewritten to follow Elixir idioms.

Tests currently won't pass

Going to merge this in. Any issues with the code can be managed through a refactor/PR
