firefox build in tts doesn't show reading-icon anymore #23

In firefox reader-mode speechdispatcher worked fine up to last week. Also after I've installed your wonderful pied (thank you!). But now it doesn't anymore, the icon for reading in firefox disappeared. In Okular (pdf reader) everything still workes as expected (even with the voices from piper installed over pied). So forgive me if its not your fault, but the one of firefox, but pied had some changes last week, so it was my first guess. Just asking: is it the same for you? (Ubuntu 22.04, pied 0.3.0, firefox 132.0.2)

Edit: Now I found this:

If you do not see the narrator icon, try setting narrate.filter-voices to false in about:config.

This can be used to check whether speech-dispatcher works at all. If it helps, you may miss voices for the language of the article opened in reader mode (check spd-say -L). If you have voices for the reader article language installed, there may be some incorrect settings or defaults related to speech-dispatcher configuration.

Setting narrate.filter-voices to false in firefox about:config works for me. And for narate.voice I can see

{"default":"automatic","de":"automatic","en":"urn:moz-tts:speechd:English%20(Lancaster)+male4?en-GB-X-GBCLAN"}

Although I don't understand that line completely, that seems to be only one of my with pied installed voices, in that moment I use an other one. Do you think pied messed that up?

Thank you :)
