[CURRENTLY UNMAINTAINED] An extension for Chromium-based browsers that disables autoplay of HTML5 audio and video
GNU General Public License v3.0

When autoplay is active many web sight videos will not play even when pressing the play button. This forces me to temporarily disable the extension to watch the video. #178

I encountered this bug too.

Additional detail: it seems to occur when a website (such as Youtube) cues up an advertising video before the video requested, where Youtube's intention is that the advert will play (either automatically or not), then the requested video will autoplay once the advert is complete (or you hit "skip"). Disable Autoplay appears to be detecting this behaviour and preventing either the ad or the main video from playing.
